Communicate with VMS!

There are many ways to communicate with your colleagues in the Visual Materials Section:

Join us on Facebook.

On Twitter, tweet @SAAVMS if you want to say something directly to us, or use our hashtag #SAAVMS if you have a question, photo, or comment to share with the whole community.

On Instagram, tag pictures of your visual collection materials with #saavms, and follow us @SAAVMS where we’ll share your tagged images with our followers!


The SAA Visual Materials Section listserv:

The SAA Visual Materials Section listserv provides an interactive professional discussion forum for everyone subscribed. It enables participants to broadcast and receive announcements, stay current on news and recently published material such as the Section’s Views Magazine. https://connect.archivists.org/communities/community-home/digestviewer?CommunityKey=9e182688-657f-48a3-a623-4d984fe1969a&tab=digestviewer

Whether or not you are an SAA member, you can still participate in this Section listserv; just set up a profile and make sure to sign up for the Visual Materials Section when you create your profile.

If you are an SAA member, you will be prompted to choose which sections you want to join.  Once you choose the Visual Materials Section you will be subscribed to our listserv. https://connect.archivists.org/home

If you are not an SAA member, that’s OK, please visit this link after you are logged into your profile. Choose to join the Visual Materials Section and you will then be automatically subscribe to the listserv.
